Parting Stone
A Clean Alternative to Ashes
Hold your loved one close
What is Parting Stone?
Parting Stone’s mission is to empower families in their grief through a form of remains that can be touched and held. They’ve come up with a new way to solidify cremated remains (or ashes) into stones you can hold, share, or place in meaningful locations.
How does it work?
The ash is transformed into a clay-like material, heated in a kiln, then hardened and returned to you as stones.
What can I do with them?
The possibilities are endless. You can carry a stone with you as you go about your day, you can place them in your garden or under a special tree, or you can share them between friends and family.
How many do we get back?
On average you can expect 10-60 stones, but the amount will vary based on the amount of ash produced from the water cremation.
Can I do this with ashes I already have?
Yes, ashes of any type or age can be transformed into stones. If you’ve had a loved one’s urn and aren’t sure what to do with it, this may be a beautiful option.
How long does it take?
On average, the solidification process takes 10-15 weeks. We will keep you updated along the way.
