December 3, 1951 – January 25, 2022
Dr. Randy Alan Shaffer died peacefully at home on January 25, 2022 on a snowy Tuesday morning in Parker, CO. Randy was warm in his bed along with his beloved wife, Victoria, his devoted cat, Snowflake, and his enormous dog, Samson.

Mary Helen Zelkovich Domijan
December 8, 1936 – January 21, 2022
Mary Helen Zelkovich Domijan was born to Peter and Mary Zelkovich (nee Pecekovic/Rosich) in Chicago, Illinois. She was born in the midst of the Depression and gifted with a breath-taking inner and outer beauty. Both her parents had emigrated from what is now the country of Croatia, but was then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Kristi Kenning
November 2, 1962 - January 24, 2022
Kristi Kenning, of Golden, CO passed away Jan. 24, 2022, after an intense 7-week battle with an aggressive liver cancer. She is survived by her loving husband Jim (James A.) Edfors, her brothers Kevin, Kerry, and Kraig, and her sister Mary Kim.

Jacinta Shontel Jones
February 29, 1976 - January 14, 2022
Jacinta “Shontel” Jones was born on February 29, 1976, to Shirley Green and Wayne Harris in Chicago, IL. Shontel was the oldest of three children, being raised by her mother and father, her stepfather Homer Green, Sr., her aunt Lori Jones, her grandmother Hattie Jones, and grandfather A.D. Jones, Jr. Shontel spent her life growing up on the westside of Chicago. She would go on to move her family to Denver, CO, and to meet and marry Lawrence Mack, building a life herself and her children there.

Kevin John Kritz
September 8, 1959 – January 13, 2022
Kevin John Kritz died unexpectedly at his home. He was 62. In this Year of the Tiger, we have sadly lost our brother, affectionately nicknamed “Orange Cat”.

Cathleen (Cath) Murphy died this week after a series of illnesses. She will be missed. Born in Denver, she graduated from University of Northern Colorado and taught art in Moffat and Jefferson County schools receiving an award as the Teacher of the Year award for Moffat County High School in 1969.

Beth Frye Strickland
May 11th, 1952 - December 26th, 2021
Nancy Beth Frye Strickland, known to all as Beth, was born on May 11th, 1952 in Beaumont, Texas - a detail she often left out in order to highlight her spiritual birthplace of Louisiana. Beth passed away in her home in Denver, Colorado on December 26th, 2021 following a beautiful Christmas celebration with her family and team of incredible caregivers. Beth battled early onset Alzheimer's, which took her life far before her time.
