Mary Ann Hanlon

May 10, 1945 - September 15, 2024

Dr. Mary Ann Hanlon, of Denver, passed away peacefully on September 15th, at the age of 79 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Dee, nieces Morgan and Sloan, dear friends, and caring neighbors. She was preceded in death by her beloved Belgian Malinois of 14 years, Coco.

Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, Mary Ann traveled far for her education, earning her medical doctorate from KU Leuven in Leuven, Belgium. She interned at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and served her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver. She was a member of the American College of Physicians and the Colorado Medical Society.

Between caring for patients and galavanting with Coco, she did find time to pursue life’s simple pleasures—watching Criminal Minds and reading the Denver Post.

There will be no funeral or memorial service at Mary Ann's request. To celebrate her life, please consider donating to the Denver Animal Shelter.
